Riva Loft is the product of a transformation project by architect Claudio Nardi and his daughter Alice. In 1880 the complex was a mill, later transformed into a series of tradesmen's workshops; in 1999 it became the studio of architect Claudio Nardi. The nine suites were designed in the spirit of French "studios", combining a metropolitan style with a cosy domestic atmosphere.
Different sizes (from 30 to 100 m2), forms and layouts distinguish the nine lofts: from a suite with a private balcony to one overlooking the garden with panoramic views of Parco delle Cascine or Brunelleschi's dome.
Each of the suites has its own independent entrance and a fully equipped kitchen; they all share the same style, but each has its own unmistakeable personality. In this complex, in which the architecture conveys a feeling of relaxation and comfort, the internal and external layout includes several common areas also "marked" by the touch of an elegance that is never banal.
A homey feel and contemporary style are the keys to interpretation of these spaces in a green, quiet location close to the historic heart of Florence.
